There is something about these light and whimsical mobiles that just lifts the spirit. Join Sarah for three adventurous days(class runs from 10 AM to 5 PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday) at Creative Journey Studios and learn that the trick of a mobile is in the balance!

We’ll use wire and Cernit clays to create compelling mobiles that shimmer, glitter and glow.

We’ll cover:

• Building luxurious blends using specialty Cernit polymer clays.
• Working with copper and steel wire to make a wide variety of playful 2-D & 3-D wire forms.
• Learning how to solder using some simple techniques.
• Stretching the blends to cover the forms.
• Adding additional surface interest using metallic pens, kemper cutters and more.

You’ll build a set of pieces that will “hang” together and design a layout where the pieces are able to move freely.  Finally, the secret sauce – finding the “balance points”. Using these points you’ll connect all the pieces together with the stainless steel wire and voilà… – a unique mobile of your own creation.
