Delicate Strength — Reinforced Armature Techniques for Jewelry

4 Day Workshop with 1 day solo workday – $640

In this class we will survey the exciting array of delicate, yet strong, jewelry forms achieved through this innovative technique. Using fabrication, sculpting, layering, and multi-cycle curing we will create a variety of delicate pieces for use as earrings, brooches, pendants or whatever else you might imagine. The focus of the workshop is on construction methods; but students will also explore surface ornamentation, finishing and joining multiple forms. This is a technique workshop, not a project class, therefore all students need a basic working knowledge of polymer clay.
