Think like a Painter with Polymer Clay
Making a wall mounted bird! $420
(This class is truly for the birds!)
This class, being held on Friday October 10th thru Sunday October 12th, will explore techniques that can be used with polymer clay veneers and simple canes to create painterly effects on a large scale for wall art.

Polymer clay provides an endless color palette, micro patterns and smooth color blends through caning. When creating a larger image for wall art these techniques go far beyond the paintbrush in creating detail and texture. Learn the principles for depicting depth of background, shadow, light source, textures in feathers, bark and flowers. Create a realistic bird wall piece of a with multiple layers using the techniques that Bonnie uses on very large scale work. Learn about her techniques for flowers, armatures and finishing. (Students will aim to create work that doesn’t exceed 5 x 5, for the sake of oven space).
