Kathleen Dustin and her magical purses are coming to CJS in March. In deference to the memorial service on March 3 for our dear friend, Elise Winter, who sadly passed on New Year’s Day, we have rescheduled Kathleen’s class to March 8-10th. We have opened a second session of her class on the following Tuesday to Thursday (March 12-14th). We are taking payment ($395) now to reserve your space. Call us at 404-314-5767 to register and arrange payment.
“Polymer clay enables us to make containers in any shape we wish so why should we feel limited to making a purse that is rectangular?” ….Kathleen Dustin
Kathleen’s purses are legendary and she is going to share shape design principles and lead you through making an interior mold and help you build a container with an inside rim and attached shoulder cord with a lid that slides up. She will share her techniques of making veneers with gold leaf, metal, paint and powder additives. Students may design their own shape, colors and embellishments, and Kathleen will also demonstrate many of her signature surface techniques. It promises to be a mind-boggling three days!
