Come to Creative Journey Studios for a new three day class with Laura Tabakman, from June 23rd to June 25th, 2023. She has designed a new class for us to learn about working with ‘skins’ or thin veneers. We will learn to develop thin membranes, made with image transfers, colored liquid clays and silk screens.

The resulting skins can be used in jewelry, book making, sculptures….all sorts of things! We will talk about getting your images ready for transfer, discuss the different options for coloring with liquid clays, and make handmade silk screens. We will also talk about using textile techniques to assemble the pieces. We’ll go deep into the techniques! Laura promises by the end of the class you’ll be very comfortable in your own skin!
